TOUR DE FRANCE STAGE 10 BETTING PREVIEW
The stage starts in the Island of Oléron in the département of Charente-Maritime to end in the island of Ré. It is the flattest stage of the 2020 Tour de France, but it still could be dramatic. Since the race hugs the coast, crosswinds and echelons are more than possible.This should be a stage for the sprinters, but as we have seen a couple of days ago, anything can happen on windy roads. So are we going to see a bunch sprint or will it be a madness from start to finish?
Stage 10 Favorites
Wout van Aert won his Stage 7 of this year’s Tour from a reduced peloton and Stage 10 could be a very similar scenario. Of course, we are not 100% sure he is allowed to sprint as his first duty is to protect the yellow jersey Primoz Roglic.The likes of Cees Bol, Sam Bennett and Caleb Ewan are the main contenders, especially the Dutchman who can rely on the strongest leadout of the Tour.
Peter Sagan is still winless in this year’s Tour and he doesn't look at his best. Mads Pedersen has alternated good and bad performance but he should back stronger after the rest day.
Bryan Coquard finished third on Stage 7 and he is rapidly improving as the race progresses.
Hugo Hofstetter also proved his capacity on stage 7 and is also an outsider to keep in mind alongside Elia Viviani, Luka Mezgec, Niccolò Bonifazio and his team-mate Andrè Greipel.
Any long-shot with good chances?
Edvald Boasson Hagen got really close to Van Aert on his last win and could be the surprise package of the day. Jasper Stuyven, Alexander Kristoff, Maximilian Walscheid and Matteo Trentin are the other good candidates for a major upset.
