Stage 12, a 218km run from Chauvigny to Sarran Corrèze, takes the Tour back toward the Massif Central, and looks ideal for a breakaway. Who will be the right pick today? This post our Tour De France Stage 12 betting tips, best odds, expert pcks ts on Winner, Top 3 & Head to Head, exclusive promotions and free no deposit bonuses.
There also mountains to climb in the last 100km, with four ascents that get progressively longer as the stage goes on. The hardes climb is the Suc au May (3.8km at 7.7%), a Category 2 ascent with a summit 25km out from the finish. This should be the deciding point of the 12th Stage.
The first three climbs are the fourth-category Côte de Saint-Martin-Terressus (1.5km at 8.8%), the fourth-category Côte d'Eybouleuf (2.8km at 5.2%) and the third-category Côte de la Croix du Pey (4.8km at 6%).
It's a day for puncheurs, classics men and occaisonal climbers who specialize in the hilly one-day classics like Liege-Bastogne-Liege or the Giro di Lombardia. Anyway, with the intermediate sprint coming early in the stage, it is likely the breakaway will form later.
There should be no impediment for Julian Alaphilippe to his entry into escapes from here to Paris, given he is now more than 56 minutes from the yellow jersey. The Frenchman will be one of the likely contenders today.
Max Schachmann arrived at this Tour far from his best conditions byt his form seem to be frowing. He’s one of the best on steep climbs and has a very fast sprint and this could be a perfect stage for him.
Astana's Omar Fraile, Luis Leon Sanchez and Alexey Lutsenko will be out for glory as well as Sunweb's Tiesj Benoot, Soren Kragh Andersen and March Hirschi.
Other classics men and occasional climbers we expect to play their cards are Edvald Boasson Hagen, Greg Van Avermaet, Matteo Trentin, Matej Mohoric, Alessandro De Marchi and, obviously, Thomas De Gendt.
The effervescent Benoît Cosnefroy (AG2R La Mondiale) is expected to escape but the Frenchman will look for accumulating KOM points rather than winning the stage.
His fellow countryman Thibaut Pinot is far enough from Primoz Roglic to be allowed to go, but we have doubts he has already recovered from a bad crash in the early part of the Tour.
Damiano Caruso and Alejandro Valverde are also suited for this kind of stage but they are both within 4 minutes from the yellow jersey and they have no chance to escape.

TOUR DE FRANCE STAGE 12 BETTING PREVIEW
The race starts with around 100km of flatter terrain, and the intermediate sprint comes at 51km. After that the sprinters team will have no reasons to keep things together and we should see attackers go in the breakway. There also mountains to climb in the last 100km, with four ascents that get progressively longer as the stage goes on. Our Stage 12 Favorites
Peter Sagan is one of today's favorites after being relegated in yesterday's spint, but his prospects of being allowed to enter the early break seem slim and the final climb should be too steep for him. There should be no impediment for Julian Alaphilippe to his entry into escapes from here to Paris, given he is now more than 56 minutes from the yellow jersey. What about GC Contenders?
It should be something like a rest-day for GC Contenders as they will aim to save energies for the next couple of stages that look very demanding.TOUR DE FRANCE STAGE 12 ODDS
