TOUR DE FRANCE STAGE 3 BETTING PREVIEW
The first 120 kilometers of this stage costantly go up and down, featuring 3 categorized climbs for the breakaway riders with decent climbing abilities. After those first 120 kms, the stage will be mainly made of false flats, mostly downhill. The last 10 kilometers are in an uphill false flat, expecially in the final 500m.The run-in to the finish line is straight, with no corners but a few pieces of road furniture—including a roundabout just before 2km-to-go.
It's not a stage for pure sprinters and fast riders' teams could make the race harder in order to get rid of most of the sprinters with less climbing skills.
Anyway, after two tough days we expect a breakaway to escape early and get caught in the final kilometers. Hence, it could finish in a bunch sprint. After all, the number of chances for fast finishers is limited this year.
Stage 3 Top Contenders
Sam Bennett was one of the favorites last Saturday but Deceuninck–Quick-Step's sprint train disintegrated when trying to set him up.Alexander Kristoff was the winner of that stage but his admirable efforts in defending the yellow jersey on Sunday may have stung his legs.
Wout Van Aert clearly saved his legs on Sunday and this could be a sign he has targeted this stage.
Mads Pedersen finished runner up to the Norwegian on Stage 1 and this kind of false flat final suits him better than his rival. The likes of Peter Sagan and Cees Bol can cope with such travails and we expect them to be in the mix.
Caleb Ewan and Giacomo Nizzolo were luckless in the first sprint of the Tour. Both will struggle over the early categorised climbs but they will have enough time to recover and re-join the peloton. Will they have enough energies for the final kilometers?

Who are the most likely outsiders?
The parcours is ideal for riders like Matteo Trentin, Greg Van Avermaet and Luka Mezgec should the sprinters' teams fail to control the race in the final kilometers. Elia Viviani can't be overlooked too.TOUR DE FRANCE STAGE 3 ODDS
