Andy Lee (34-2-1), a cousin of heavyweight world champion Tyson Fury, gained the vacant title 12 months ago by defeating heavily favoured American Matt Korobov by TKO after 6 rounds. He has 24 knockouts from 34 professional victories, with two defeats and a controversial draw against Peter Quillin in his last fight in April. In that fight,Peter Quillin was overweight and could not win the title. Lee got knocked down twice and Quillin went down once. Billy Joe Saunders currently holds the Commonwealth Middleweight title and boasts an impressive 22-0 record with 12 knockouts. His biggest came in November 2014, when he got the nod in a spirited split decision against bitter rival Chris Eubank Jr. in a European title defense. He has seen off the likes of Bradley Pryce, Jarrod Fletcher, Nick Blackwell, Matthew Hall, Gary O'Sullivan and John Ryder. His last bout saw Saunders won a tune-up fight in July by knocking out journeyman Yoann Bloyer in the fourth round.
