Alejandro Sabella will have to make do without the services of left-back Marcos Rojo after the defender picked up his second yellow card of the tournament in the round of 16, with Jose Basanta expected to take his place. Sergio Agüero is still a doubt with a muscle injury. If the Manchester City striker fails to recover in time, Ezequiel Lavezzi will keep his place in the starting line-up. Gonzalo Higuain is yet to get off the mark so far.
Belgium have also won all four of their games, unconvincingly, by one goal of margin so far. They were also taken to extra time in their Round of 16 tie where they eventually saw off the USA 2-1 after a goalless 90 minutes. Anyway, Belgium are undefeated in their last 14 matches and have kept a clean sheet in their last 3 matches in FIFA World Cup.
Marc Wilmots will still not be able to count on the contribution of Vanden Borre, who is currently sidelined, but on the other hand, the midfielder Steven Defour, who missed the team’s last match due to suspension, will be available. Dembele and Mirallas will hope to start after abject displays from Fellaini and Mertens against USA. Kompany has overcome his injury, but Thomas Vermaelen remains doubtful. Lukaku should start upfront.
Argentina have faced Belgium four times before and they have won three of them. A reason to be cautious for Argentina in that they have only won 6 of 19 games played against European nations at the World Cup.

ARGENTINA v BELGIUM BETTING PREVIEW
Argentina qualified to the quarter-finals after late goal rescued them from mediocre performance. They needed an extra time for a 1-0 win over Switzerland, as a late strike from Angel Di Maria was good enough to see them through in a game they dominated from the start. The Albiceleste have also won their three group matches by a single goal margin. Messi has produced much of Argentina’s offense, and he created the winner against Switzerland with a superb pass.Alejandro Sabella will have to make do without the services of left-back Marcos Rojo after the defender picked up his second yellow card of the tournament in the round of 16, with Jose Basanta expected to take his place.
