ROMA v LIVERPOOL BETTING PREVIEW
Roma, who recorded 14 wins and just one defeat in their final 19 league fixtures of the season, are yet to face a real challenge during the pre -season losing again Al Ahly in their summer opening, before posing a 16-0 win over Pinzolo Campiglio and then beating Terek Grozny 3-2. The Giallorossi have been busy in the transfer market so fa. Germany defender Antonio Rudiger has joined the club permanently from Stuttgart, as has Stephane El Shaarawy, for £13 million. Furthermore, Juan Jesus and Mari Rui have joined on season-long loan deals with an obligatory purchase clause.
Mario Rui suffered a knee legament injury and will miss the first part of the season. Kevin Strootman is finally fit after a long absence and will start in midfield alongside Paredes and Gerson. Up front, Diego Perotti, Juan Manuel Iturbe and Edin Dzeko are likely to start. Young Brazilian goalkeeper Alisson is likely to start between the posts. Of course, captain Francesco Totti will feature during the second half.
Liverpool lost their ICC opening match against fellow Premier League outfit Chelsea by a single goal. Anyway, the Reds produced a 2-0 win over AC Milan last weekend, with a sparkling second half performance tand goals scored by Origi and Firmino. They will play other two warmup clashes, first against Barcelona at Wembley, before rounding of preparations in Germany against Mainz 05.
Manager Jurgen Klopp is likely to name a strong starting lineup. Danny Ings will take part after watching the 2-0 Milan win as an unused substitute. Emre Can and Christian Benteke should come in for their first action while the likes of Lazar Markovic, Roberto Firmino, Nathaniel Clyne, Alberto Moreno and Divock Origi, who all began as substitutes against Milan, will be hopeful of starting berths and increased minutes. Marko Grujic could return after missing the Milan win through injury, but Mamadou Sakho, Joe Gomez, Loris Karius and Joel Matip remain sidelined.
