This week's Betvictor Pick 6 Predictions
Here are our free betting tips for this week's Betvictor Pick 6 Competition:
How to win?
The concept is simple and will be familiar to many punters who play other free football games at other sites.
The football prediction game is a similar format to that featured by Sky Bet, which has run the Super 6 competition for a number of years, and many other betting sites such as William Hill, Coral, Ladbrokes, Betway.
Players are asked to predict the winning team and possible score for each of the six featured matches.
Each of the six questions is worth a set number of points, and the points available for each of the multiple choice answers is based on the likelihood of that outcome occurring.
Actually, points are awarded based on the corresponding odds of that event occurring (the greater the odds for your pick, the more points you’ll receive for getting it correct).
Matches considered harder to predict will feature a greater points reward, while those hypothetically easier to predict will have a smaller reward.
As the overall odds of each fixture are liable to change over time (and consequently the corresponding points values), the final value of points available for each contest will not be known until kick-off.
Anyway, the final target is: Get six out of six right, beat all other players by scoring the most points and you will win £1,000 cash.
"As a game, BetVictor Pick 6 offers a free and simple gaming experience, along with giving football fans the opportunity to win £1,000. We are confident that football fans will love playing Pick 6 each week.” said BetVictor Director of e-Gaming Turlough Lally.
What happens if multiple players score the same amount of points?
In the event two or more players have the same predictions, BetVictor has created a tie-breaking system.
Those players will need to predict the minute the first goal of a match will be scored. Whoever gets it right, or is closest, will have the advantage.
Players who correctly get their six answers correct but don’t win the top prize will receive a free bet worth £20 (7 day expiry).
Prizes are credited with 24 hours of the final results.
How to calculate BetVictor Pick 6 points?
The points for each correct answer are 10x the decimal odds BetVictor are offering for that outcome on their sportsbook.
Let's make an example with a typical English Premier League match, West Ham vs Liverpool.
If the question is "Which team will win the match" and the odds are:
West Ham 13/2 (7.50 in decimal)
The Draw @ 14/5 (3.80 in decimal)
Liverpool @ 2/5 (1.40 in decimal)
You'll get 75 points if you correctly predict West Ham to win, 38 points for the draw, 14 points if you correcly pick Liverpool to beat the Hammers.
What happens if a match is postponed?
If a selected game is postponed then the BetVictor Pick 6 round will still take place and the player with 5/5 correct predictions and the closest tie-breaker will win, although there will be no £20 free bets to the others who correctly predicted 5/5 matches in that instance.
If 2 or more games are postponed then the game round is void.
BetVictor Pick 6 tips
This game is not all about knowledge and luck. There's a lot of strategy indeed and the ability to amend your answers as the round progresses is also key.
Don't forget that if no player gets all six questions correct, you can win the £1000 weekly jackpot even if you don't get 5 of the six questions correct.
If you win two bets at 1/2 and a 10/1 bet, at the end of the day you will have more points than a player that has won 5 bets a 1/2.
Hence, the best strategy is:
Go for the "6 correct answers out of 6 questions". You will either win the £1k top prize or, if you lose the tie break, the £20 free bet.
As soon as you get a wrong answer, change your answers and go for the major upsets. This way you will have more chances of scoring the most points if no players get all 6 correct.
As for the tie-break question, please consider that the average time of the first goal in Premier League match is around the 30-minute mark.
