Popular Wimbledon Betting Markets

You can bet on Wimbledon almost all year round when it comes to outright odds with the number of markets available ramping up once the draw has been made and the tournament progresses.

There are a number of markets that are more popular than others, while you’ll also find the likes of LiveScore Bet and other new betting sites offer a range of novelty markets once the tournament begins.

Below you’ll find a number of the main markets offered during Wimbledon...

Match Result Odds

Match Result odds are offered across many sports and is the most basic wager bookmakers deliver.

All they involve is simply betting on the player you think will win a specific match.

Set Betting

Set betting is a similar concept but as well as predicting the winner of a match you also have to select the score in which they will do so.

For example, you might want to place a set bet on Novak Djokovic. This would mean you’re betting on Djokovic to win and you would then need to predict the number of sets, for example 2-0.

You will find better value then you would on the Match Result market, but of course it is also harder to predict.

Total Match Games

From sets, you can narrow down that further and predict the number of games that will be played in a match.

This is usually offered in an Over/Under format so rather then betting on a specific number you’ll bet on a number range.

For example, you might wish to bet on Under 18.5 games to be played in a match. In this case the number of games played would need to be 18 or fewer.

Outright Winner

You can bet on the outright winner of Wimbledon tournaments in both Men’s Singles and Women’s Singles all year round.

This market is backing the player you believe will win the Wimbledon tournament.

Wimbledon 2023 Favourites - Tournament Winner Odds

The bookies are always offering a market on the outright winners of Wimbledon. Below you’ll find the betting odds for the current favourites to win Wimbledon 2023…

Men’s Singles Wimbledon Outright Odds

The favourite in the Wimbledon odds for the men’s singles 2023 is Novak Djokovic - who won 4 of the last 5 editions - at odds of 4/6. The Serbian has already won the Australian Open and the French Open this year and is in contention to win all four majors in a calendar year since Rod Laver, who completed the feat in 1969.

Carlos Alcaraz goes into this year's edition as #1 seed but 2nd favourite. The Spaniard only reached the fourth round in 2022 but will look to improve his achievement.

After Djokovic and Alcaraz there is a significant drop off in the betting. The likes of Jannik SInner, Daniil Medvedev, Alexander Zverev, Sebastian Korda and Holger Rune have odds between 20/1 and 40/1.

Murray is as high as 50/1 for the 2023 tournament and needs to get back to his best to win this year, but if he can this price will be a huge payout for backing the Brit.

Last year finalist Nick Kyrgios could be once again the dark horse of the tournament at odds of 50/1.

Women’s Singles Wimbledon Outright Odds

The WTA’s new big three of Iga Swiatek, Aryna Sabalenka and Elena Rybakina will renew their rivalries in the Wimbledon women’s singles over the next fortnight.

World No 1 Iga Swiatek is the favourite at 3/1. The 22-year-old has already proved to be a clay-court specialist with three French Open successes but her best performance at Wimbledon so far has been to reach the fourth round in 2021.

A struggling record at SW19 and an unconvincing form on grass this year leaves World No.2 Aryna Sabalenka as third favourite at 6/1 while the defending champion Elena Rybakina had a illness-interrupted preparation ahead of the big tournament.

This leaves room for surprises, and the likes of last year's finalist Ons Jabeur, Petra Kvitova and Barbora Krejcikova look the most capable of deliver upsets.

Other interesting long shots are Cori Gauff, Karolina Pleskova, Belinda Bencic, Madison Key and Qinwen Zhang.

Wimbledon has been a true home-away-from-home for the Williams Sisters. Venus and Serena have combined to win 12 Wimbledon singles championships and six doubles championships since the turn of the century.
