LEO SANTA CRUZ v CARL FRAMPTON: BETTING PREVIEW

Leo Santa Cruz (32-0-1), undefeated in 33 fights, is a three-weight world champion and currently holds the WBA (super) featherweight title. He has knocked out 18 of his 33 professional opponents so far. That draw coming in his second professional outing. His most recent outing was particularly impressive and it came against a man Frampton is no stranger too, needing just 5 rounds to stop former world super-bantamweight champion Kiko Martinez.

Santa Cruz is not a big puncher, but his volume can be downright overwhelming. He has stamina in abundance, plenty of heart and a considerable 8 inch reach advantage. The Mexican tends to come forward and to leaving himself open. He could become an easy target for Frampton's quick hands.

Carl Frampton (22-0) successfully unified the WBA and IBF super-bantamweight titles when he beat Scott Quigg in comprehensive fashion back in February. Prior to that, he beat Alejandro Gonzalez by unanimous decision back in July 2015 and Chris Avalos by TKO in February. Furthermore, Frampton stopped Kiko Martinez twice - in the ninth round in their first meeting in 2013 before winning via decision 18 months later.

Frampton is a phenomenal boxer but despite seemingly adapting to the increase in size with ease, he is a massive question mark at featherweight. Anyway, he will be closer to his natural body weight at the 57 Kg limit. While Santa Cruz may shade it in terms of experience, "the Jackal" has a little extra speed that could prove key.
