Top 3 Casino Where To Play Funky Time
What Is Funky Time?
Funky Time is the long-awaited sequel to Evolution's smash hit Crazy Time.
It's a 70s disco-themed Live game show loaded with bonuses and Multipliers.
The game features a colorful and lively studio setting with a host who keeps the energy. Live presenters celebrates the disco era with a retro club ambiance, daring dancefloor moves, and funky tunes.
Casino players get to compete against each other in various rounds to win prizes, as this live casino game is filled with exciting challenges and mini-games that keep the players engaged and entertained.
How To Play Funky Time
The main game mechanic is a big wheel containing 64 segments. Each segment has a letter, the number '1' or the name of a bonus game. We will discuss the Funky Time wheel in greater detail further in this review.
The number '1' and the letters pay an instant win, while the names of the bonus rounds trigger the mini-games.
There are 20 seconds of betting time. Players are required to place their bets before the presenter spins the wheel. Basically, you have to guess where the wheel stops. As soon as all the bets have been placed, the live dealer will spin the wheel and if it stops on the sector of your choice, you win.
The result of the spin will be either an instant win (number 1 or letters) or a bonus game (when the outcome is one of the four exciting bonus rounds).
Random multipliers between 2x and 50x can be sprinkled across the wheel, landing on some segments.
When the round ends the 20 seconds countdown starts again for a new exciting round.
Here is a step by step guide:
Choose your chip size and place your bet during the bet phase
Once the timer expires, the round begins and the Funky Time Live presenter spins the wheel
If the wheel lands on a 1 or letter space, then all bets on those spaces win and are awarded a cash prize
On each spin, a random number of multipliers are triggered and applied to random spaces on the wheel that will be applied to winning values
Placing a successful bet on any of the bonus games will activate the corresponding bonus game.
How To Win In Funky Time Live
On every round you have to predict what will be the outcome of the spin. If you have an active bet on the segment where it stops, you win either the multiplier value or you enter the bonus game.
Of course, lower multipliers have an higher frequency that higher multipliers and bonus rounds.
The Funky Time Wheel
The wheel is called DigiWheel because it is a physical wheel made up of LED panels and allows to show additional information, like multipliers, while the wheel is rotating.
The DigiWheel is divided in 64 segments.
The 'number 1' occupies 28 segments (seven block of four 1s)
The letters occupy 24 segments and are arranged in six block of four. The letters form the words PLAY, FUNK, and TIME. Each word appears twice on the wheel.
The remaining twelve segments give access to the four bonus games: Bar, Stayin' Alive, Disco, and VIP Disco Bonus.
Numbers and letters bets have a default payout while the bonus games have a separate payout system. You will find two tables below with all the betting options and their frequency on the wheel.
Funky Time Payouts
Let's take a look at the different payouts for each segment.
Bet | Standard Payout | Segments | Extra Multiplier | Max Win |
---|---|---|---|---|
Number 1 | 1:1 | 28 | 2x - 50x | up to 50:1 |

Letter | 3.12% per letter | 95.49% |

Looking at the bonus segments, we notice that Bar is the most profitable bonus game, which is important to remember for a live game that’s all about its bonus rounds.
As you may notice, RTP rates of different bets are much closer to each other than in Crazy Time.
Funky Time Bonus Games
There are 4 Bonus games in Funky Time Live: BAR, Stayin' Alive, Disco and VIP Disco.
In order to participate in this mini games you must have an active bet on that particular segment when the wheel stops there.
Eg. You bet on the Stayin' Alive bonus and the result of the spin is 'Stayin' Alive'.
Each of the bonuses has its own unique features and rewards, so let's take a closer look at them.
The BAR Bonus Round
If the flapper stops on the Bar segment, you will proceed to the Bar Bonus game
You are taken to a funky bar staffed by a robot barman that will offer you three drink choices, each with a different multiplier.
Your job is to pick one of three glasses. Then, the robot bartender pours drinks to determine the multiplier amounts for each glass. Multipliers between 2x and 20x are assigned to each glass.
The fuller the glass, the bigger the multiplier.
Furthermore, as the mocktails are poured, a single slot reel spins behind the robot bartender, revealing another multiplier which gets randomly awarded to one of the three glasses, multiplying the value of the glass multiplier.
The STAYIN' ALIVE Bonus Round
Clearly, Evolution Gaming has named this feature after the song by the Bee Gees from the Saturday Night Fever movie.
This special round is a relatively complex game inspired by bingo and features a ball drawing machine, entailing 90 coloured balls and a 20-level multiplier ladder.
The aim of this simple round is to choose one of the three coloured balls – purple, orange or green.
When the game begins, the 90-ball machine is activated. Whenever a 1 or 2 ball is revealed, you can move 1 or 2 spaces further on the multiplier ladder. Discovering a Black Ball will remove 1 of the available lives and, once all four lives have been lost, the current unlocked multiplier is awarded.
Each ladder contains 20 levels, Level 1 is 5x (the default payout), Level 2 is 10x, etc.. up to Level 20 that is 1000x (the maximum payout).
The game ends when all 4 lives on all ladders have been lost.
The final multiplier can be also increased if there was a qualifying multiplier on the bonus segment of the Digiwheel.
The DISCO Bonus Game
This bonus game is a reminiscent of the Disco Dancing Arcade machines and takes place on a 37-square virtual dance floor.
The dealer spins the record and move the character (Mr. Funky) in a direction on the grid to collect win multipliers. The spin of the wheel determines his trajectory as it contains four directions (Up, Down, Left, Right) and Mr. Funky will collect multipliers along his path.
Regular multipliers ranging between 1x and 100x cover each tile. When the character lands on one, the multiplier is picked up and added to the total.
Other floor multipliers will randomly double other five multiplier already on the dance floor.
If Mr. Funky falls into a pit, then the mode ends and all unlocked multipliers are awarded.
If there is a qualifier multiplier from the Digiwheel, it will be applied to the final multiplier of this game.
The VIP DISCO Bonus Round
The VIP Disco Bonus is a funkier version of the Disco bonus. It is played on a 63 space grid (instead of 37) giving Mr. Funky more chanced to collect wins across.
The VIP version also features increased multipliers. You will find yourself surrounded by huge multipliers worth 50x, 250x, 500x, and a whopping 1,500x.

Funky Time Betting Strategies
Most people wonder if there is an optimal playing strategy they can use to play live Funky Time.
Funky Time is undoubtedly about the bonus rounds. In order to have good profits, you must certainly bet on the bonus-round positions on the rotating wheel.
Should you always bet on the number one there is no chance you can be a winner in the long period. The odds and the payout table are against you.
Eg.
If you stake £1 on the number 1 for 64 spins, you will win £56 on average, with a loss of £8.
Of course, extra multipliers change this profit/loss analysis so a good betting strategy could be wagering on the number 1, on four letters and two/three bonuses in order to cover eventual losses as much as we can and maximise winnings.
Eg.
A good betting pattern we have personally tested is the following:
4 Units staked on number 1 – 1/1 Pays
1 Unit staked on each of the letter P, L, A, Y – 25/1 Pays
1 Unit staked on the Stayin Alive Bonus – 2 sections on the wheel
2 Units staked on the Disco Bonus – 3 sections on the wheel
1 Unit staked on the BAR bonus – 6 sections on the wheel
And don't forget the laws of probability. If a bonus hasn’t occurred during say the last 10 wheel spins, then there is a greater chance it will hit in the next spins. So timing your bets and modifying your stake accordingly could be the winning factor in this game (as it also happens in Monopoly Live).
Bonus Round Strategies and Betting Options
The BAR bonus round is a matter of luck. You are faced with picking a glass from three and there is no way to determine which will be the highest paying one.
In the Stayin' Alive bonus round you are required to choose between three ladders, all with the same initial value. The ball-machine is physical but random. Although there is no random number generator here, the outcome is completely unpredictable.
The Disco and VIP Disco bonus rounds are pure RNG. No actions are taken by players, who only sit back and watch Mr. Funky collecting all the multipliers from the dance floor.
Hence, there aren't viable strategies we can apply when playing the special bonuses in Funky Time Live by Evolution Gaming.
Funky Time Stats & Result Tracking
You can track all the previous results using the info displayed on the game interface. Historical stats are limited to the last 500 rounds.
Although historical info is interesting, it has no bearing on future results. Anyway, just like lottery players do with Hot and Cold Numbers, you can decide to bet on outcomes missing since ages or go for the most frequent ones.
