CELTIC v ABERDEEN BETTING PREVIEW
Celtic managed to complete an unbeaten season in the Scottish Premiership, finishing 30 points clear of Aberding in the table. The Bhoys come into the match with a convincing six-match winning streak behind them, beating Rangers (2-0 and 1-5), St. Johnstone (4-1), Aberdeen (1-3), Partick Thistle (0-5), and Hearts (2-0). Celtic have won the last 6 direct encounters - 5 of which were this season - outscoring their opponents 15-4 in the process. Success in the Scottish Cup Final will see them complete the domestic treble for the first time since 2000/01.
Brendan Rodgers will be without star striker Moussa Dembele. As a result Leigh Griffiths will lead the line, with the likes of Scott Sinclair, Callum McGregor and Patrick Roberts in the attacking midfield positions. Scott Brown and Stuart Armstrong should start in the middle of the park while the likes of Dedryck Boyata, Kieran Tierney, Jozo Simunovic and Christian Gamboa will form the four man backline.
Aberdeen finished runners up in the Scottish Premier League, posting their record points total this season. The Dons wrapped up their league campaign with a 6-0 demolition of Partick Thistle, a result that cemented their status of second best team in Scotland as they ended 9 points clear of Rangers in the league table. Anyway, Aberdeen have not been as consistent with two losses in their last five outings. In terms of direct matches, they been beaten by at least two goals in three of their last five meetings with Celtic, including a 3-0 defeat when they faced the Bhoys in the League Cup Final last November.
Manager Derek McInnes looks set to have a completely healthy side and has no suspension issues to deal with. The only absentee will be without Celtic loanee Ryan Christie. Up front, Adam Rooney will spearhead the attack, supported by Jonny Hayes, Niall McGinn and Ryan Christie. At the back, Joe Lewis will defend the posts with a four man defense formed by Andrew Considine, Shay Logan, Ash Taylor and Mark Reynolds. The probable starting pair in midfield should include Kenny McLean and Anthony O'Connor.
