CHELSEA v BARCELONA BETTING PREVIEW
Chelsea edged out PSG 6-5 on penalties after a 1-1 draw in normal time at the weekend. Prior to that match, the Blues suffered a shock 4-2 loss at the hands of New York Red Bulls in their first ICC game.
It has been a relatively quiet summer at Stamford Bridge so far with Radamel Falcao and Asmir Begovic the only major signings while a move for Everton defender John Stones remains on the cards. Barcelona kicked off their pre-season last Wednesday with a 2-1 win against LA Galaxy thanks to goals from Luis Suarez and Sergi Roberto. Anyway, they enter this match on the back of a 3-1 defeat at the hands of pre-season masters Manchester United.
The Blaugrana will again be without two of their biggest names in Lionel Messi and Neymar but they still boast Luis Suarez and Pedro in attack along with promising youngsters such as Munir and Alen Halilovic who are likely to play a part in this game. Ivan Rakitic should start after coming off the bench against Man United, while Munir El-Haddadi and Sandro Ramirez are also pushing for inclusion from the start. Javier Mascherano and Claudio Bravo are the other absences.
Chelsea have only lost against Barca twice in 10 previous matches and they have beaten the Catalans three-times in that space. Four of the last five meetings between Chelsea and Barcelona have ended level.
