ENGLAND v AUSTRALIA BETTING PREVIEW England surrendered a 22-12 lead with half an hour to play to lose 28-25 against Wales last time out, leaving their participation in the later stages of the tournament in doubt. The match is effectively a sudden death one for the English and they can ill-afford a loss to the Wallabies who will be licking their lips at the prospect of sending the English tumbling out of the tournament.
Coach Stuart Lancaster has made three changes to his side. He will bring back Jonathan Joseph at outside centre while Brad Barritt will be moved to inside centre and Sam Burgess dropped to the bench. With Courtney Lawes and Billy Vunipola out with knee injuries, Joe Launchbury and Ben Morgan have also been called into the starting line-up.
The Wallabies ave been impressive in their displays so far8. Having come out trumps in a hard fought affair against the Fijians, Australia second string went on to dismantle 65-3 the Uruguayans last Saturday. Will Genia and Bernard Foley complement each other well in the halves and the pairing of Michael Hooper and David Pocock in the starting line-up continues to work wonders.
Australia head coach Michael Cheika has made 14 changes to his team. Will Skelton and Wycliff Palu have been ruled out for the remainder of the World Cup because of injuries. Quade Cooper makes way at fly-half with Bernard Foley coming back, while Michael Hooper, David Pocock and Matt Giteau are also named in the starting line-up.
England will prepare for the game knowing that they have triumphed in four of the last five games between the two sides. The five World Cup fixtures between England and Australia have seen just nine tries scored in total.
