ENGLAND v URUGUAY BETTING PREVIEW England got off to a promising start with a 35–11 victory over Pool A defeating Fiji but two successive defeats at Twickenham to Wales and Australia saw Stuart Lancaster's men make history as the first host nation to fail to make it out of a pool.
Danny Care is one of four tournament debutants in England's experimental back line, alongside wing Jack Nowell, outside-centre Henry Slade and fullback Alex Goode, with Jamie George hoping to win his first World Cup cap off the bench. George Ford returns at fly-half, moving Owen Farrell to centre.
Uruguay were beaten 47-15 by Fiji earlier this week, a third defeat for the rank outsiders who at least managed their first tries of the tournament. With 27 points on the board from their first three matches, no side has scored fewer points at the tournament so far, while conceding 166 points in three matches also gives Uruguay the worst defensive record.
The South Americans have been boosted by the news that Ormeachea will be available for the match despite his red card in the last outing. Coach Lemoine has made just two changes. Felipe Berchesi replaces Alejo Duran at fly-half and Mateo Sanguinetti is called in for Alejo Corral at loosehead prop.
These two sides have only met once before, with England thrashing 111-13 Uruguay in their final pool match in Brisbane at the 2003 tournament on their way to lifting the Webb Ellis Cup.
