How to watch Croatia v Scotland

The match is scheduled for an 8pm BST kick-off on Tuesday, June 22, 2021.

Croatia v Scotland will be held at Hampden Park in Glasgow and televised on ITV 4 and STV for free. UK viewers will be able to watch the match online via the ITV Hub and STV Player.

Croatia vs Scotland Betting Preview

Scotland have only picked up a point from their first two Group D fixtures, but still have an outside chance of qualifying for the last 16. They are level on points with Crotia (one) but sit bottom because of a worse goal difference. If Scotland fail to beat Croatia they will be out.

After losing 1-0 to England and drawing 1-1 with the Czech Republic, Croatia also must beat Scotland to reach the last-16. It is mathematically impossible for third-placed Croatia to progress as group winners. Anyway, they will leapfrog the Czechs if the take three points at Hampden Park and England win the other match at Wembley.

Steve Clarke's men lost their opener to the Czechs 2-0, but earned a credible 0-0 draw with the Three Lions last time out. Actually they were the best side at Wembley and went so close to score the deciding goal in the last 15 minutes of the match. They are yet to score a goal in the group but at least the Scots looked solid at the back against England. History could favour the Scots in this tie, though, as Croatia have failed to win any of their previous five meetings with the Tartan Army.

Best Odds & Enhanced Prices

Scotland are 16/5 with BetVictor to win on Tuesday, with Croatia priced at 13/10 at Boylesports to come away with the victory. A draw is priced at 14/5 with Bet365.

Probable Line-Ups

Croatia (4-2-3-1): Livakovic; Vrsaljko, Vida, Lovren, Gvardiol; Brozovic, Modric; Kramaric, Rebic, Perisic; Petkovic

Zlatko Dalic's strategy of deploying winger Ante Rebic as a "false nine" at Petkovic's expense backfired in both games. The latter should spearhead the attack here while the AC Milan striker will move out wide. Mateo Kovacic and Marcelo Brozovic are in competition to partner Luka Modric in midfield while Borna Barisic is in contention with Josko Gvardiol for the left back berth. Damagoj Vida and Duje Caleta-Car will form the centre back pair.

Scotland (3-5-2): Marshall; McTominay, Hanley, Tierney; O'Donnell, McGregor, Armstrong, McGinn, Robertson; Dykes, Adams

Billy Gilmour is self-isolating after a positive Covid test and will miss the match. That could see Jack Hendry return to the XI in defence and Scott McTominay return to the midfield. Alternatively, Stuart Armstrong may be welcomed back to the midfield three. Up front, Che Adams and Lyndon Dykes should be trusted from the off once more.

Croatia v Scotland Predictions

The most likely way for Scotland to qualify would be as one of the four best third-placed teams but, of course, they need to beat Croatia here.  Clarke's men a compact side difficult to break down and that was clear to see from their 0-0 draw at Wembley few days ago. Croatia are on a four-game winless streak and have only overseen two victories from their last 11 games. Should the Scots play well like they did with England, the "Scotland not to lose" bet is a value bet. Since it will be a high tension game, we expect a low scoring affair (Eg. Under 2.5 total goals).
