Portugal vs France Betting Preview
Portugal opened their Euro 2020 campiagn with a 3-0 victory over Hungary - with all the goals coming in the final minutes of the game. Anyway, they currently find themselves outside of the top two after a thrilling 4-2 defeat to Germany. That defeat against Germany was only their third since they lost to Uruguay at the World Cup, a run stretching 31 games now. Should they fail to beat France here, Fernando Santos' men will have to hope that they progress as one of the best third-placed teams. Anyway, the 2016 European champions will be eliminated from the tournament if they lose and a buoyant Hungary beat Germany. The Seleçao have never failed to make it out of the group stage during their previous seven appearances at the European Championships.France remain at the top of the rankings despite being held to a 1-1 draw by Hungary on matchday two and will progress in first place with victory on Wednesday. Les Blues beat Germany 1-0 in Munich in their Euro 2020 opening clash, a result that guarantee them to finish at least third in the group. Les Blues have suffered just one defeat in the last 22 outings. France and Portugal are locking horns five years after Eder's effort propelled the Seleçao to Euro 2016 glory in the final, but Didier Deschamps' men gained a measure of revenge with a 1-0 Nations League win over the holders in Lisbon back in November 2020. The reverse match played in Paris finished 0-0.

Probable Line-Ups
Portugal (4-3-3): Patricio; Semedo, Dias, Pepe, Guerreiro; Pereira, Sanches, Fernandes; R.Silva, Ronaldo, JotaFernando Santos will be again without the services of Joao Felix (hamstring) and Nuno Mendes (thigh). Rafa Silva and Renato Sanches are the most likely candidates to benefit from some rotation with William Carvalho and Bernardo Silva likely to make way. The four man backline, formed by Nelson Semedo, Ruben Dias, Pepe and Raphael Guerreiro, will remain unchanged.
France (4-3-3): Lloris; Pavard, Varane, Kimpembe, Hernandez; Kante, Pogba, Tolisso; Griezmann; Mbappe, Benzema
Ousmane Dembele sustained a knee injury after coming on as a sub against Hungary and will miss the remaining of the tournament. Lucas Hernandez should return at left-back after Lucas Digne failed to impress last time out. The front trio formed by Antoine Griezmann, Kylian Mbappe and Karim Benzema has also underperformed so far but they are all expected to retain their starting berth. Didier Deschamps does have alternatives up front in Olivier Giroud, Kingsley Coman and Wissam Ben Yedder. Corentin Tolisso should replace Adrien Rabiot in midfield.
Portugal v France Predictions
A draw will likely be enough for both teams to qualify, but we believe France can exploit the Seleçao defensive weaknesses, like Germany did few days ago. We expect Les Blues bouncing back from their underwhelming result last time out and beat Portugal. Ww also expect Kylian Mbappe to shine in a 3-1 victory, although recent games between these two European powerhouses have been low-scoring affairs.
