How to watch Wales v Denmark

Wales will play Denmark in Euro 2020’s round of 16 on Saturday, June 26.

The match kicks off at 17.00 BST at the Johan Cruyff Arena (Amsterdam).

Welsh and Danish fans will not be allowed into the Netherlands for Euro 2020 knockout match -  because the two nations are not on the Netherlands’ safe country list - and discussions about fan zones are still continuing in Wales.

Wales vs Denmark Betting Preview

Wales arrive via a grueling game against Italy, in which they suffered a 1-0 defeat and had Ethan Ampadu sent-off. They survived a massive pressure in the final minutes - if the Dragons allowed one more goal, that would see them slipping down to third place. Since they lost by a single goal margin, Rob Page's men remained second because of a better goal difference over Switzerland. In the first two outings, Wales drew 1-1 against Switzerland and beat Turkey 2-0, despite a missed penalty by Gareth Bale.

After back to back defeats at the hands of Finland (0-1) and Belgium (1:2), Denmark trounced Russia 4-1 in their final group stage game, in front of a jubilant home crowd at the Parken Stadium in Copenhagen. The Danes progressed as runner up in the Group D, a fantastic achievement after the horrible incident involving Christian Eriksen in the opening match. The last contest featuring these sides was Nations League match day 5 on November 2018 which ended up a Denmark 2-1 victory.

Best Odds

    Probable Line-Ups

Wales (4-5-1): Ward; Davies, Rodon, Mepham, Roberts; Allen, Morrell, Ramsey, Bale, James; Moore

Ethan Ampadu is suspended after his red card against Italy. As a result, Rob Page should revert to a 4-5-1 system in which Joe Rodon and Chris Mepham will be paired at the heart of the back. Ben Davies will return to the starting XI as right back whiel Dan James and Gareth Bale will play as offensive wings. Also Kieffer Moore will be recalled to lead the line.

Denmark (3-4-2-1): Schmeichel; Kjaer, Christensen, Vestergaard; Maehle, Delaney, Hojberg, Wass; Damsgaard, Braithwaite; Poulsen

Christian Eriksen remains the only missing platers for the Danes. As a result, manager Kasper Hjulmand is expected to keep faith in the starting XI who trashed Russia last time out. That would see Yussuf Poulsen spearheading the attack, with Mikkel Damsgaard and Martin Braithwaite behind him. The likes of Pierre-Emile Hojberg and Thomas Delaney will anchor the midfield while, Daniel Wass and Joakim Maehle will start wing backs.

    Wales v Denmark Predictions

Wales look a well-balanced outfit capable of competing in this contest. The Danes aren't playing in Copenhagen anymore, which significantly affect their chances to shine. We expect a low scoring affair. Probably, Denmark will win with a narrow margin, with a 1-0 scoreline our choice in the correct score market.
