LIVERPOOL v BARCELONA BETTING PREVIEW
Liverpool have produced a mixed bag of performances having beaten AC Milan 2-0 and suffering defeats to Chelsea (0-1) and Roma (1-2). Out of the seven matches played so far, the Reds had won 5 and lost 2. They will conclude their preparations with a trip to Mainz this Sunday, before kicking off their Premier League campaign with an away game against Arsenal next week.
Mamadou Sakho, Lucas Leiva, Joe Gomez and Loris Karis are all set to miss the game through injury, but Joel Matip and Marko Grujic will both feature at some point this weekend after missing the past two games. Alberto Moreno is a doubt having picked up a knock in the US. Offensive midfielders Sadio Mané and Georginio Wijnaldum will probably start, in an attempt to build chemistry with the rest of the team.
Barcelona have a 100% record in this edition of the International Champions Cup as they comfrotably beat Celtic and Leicester City so far, scoring 7 goals in these two fixtures despite the absence of Neymar. One thing we have seen is a very open defence from the Catalans. They conceded against tre Scottish Champions and then let in two against Ranieri's men.
Manager Luis Enrique arrives in England with a depleted, but still extremely strong, squad. He is yet to welcome back many of his Euro 2016 stars (Gerard Pique, Ivan Rakitic, Andres Iniesta, Jordi Alba, Thomas Vermaelen and Marc-Andre ter Stegen), but Lionel Messi is available alongside former Liverpool duo Luis Suarez and Javier Mascherano. New signings Lucas Digne, Samuel Umtiti and Andre Gomes have yet to feature for their new club, but could take part at Wembley.
