MENSUR SULJOVIC v MARK WEBSTER: Betting preview Mensur Suljovic, who has shot up to eighth on the Order of Merit following an impressive season on the PDC circuit, began his World Championship campaign with a straight-sets victory over Ron Meulenkamp in the opening round. He has now become World class and showed that when he reached the final the European Championship beating Taylor and Wright along the way.
2008 BDO Champion Mark Webster also enjoyed a routine first-round success over Joe Murnan at the Ally Pally. His double success on that first match was quite incredible - from 11 darts at a double he was successful nine times. He has won the last six meetings against Suljovic, the last two of which were in 2016.
The winner of this match will be facing against either Thornton or Gurney, so the chances to reach the quarter finals and the big duel against Van Gerwen probably are not that bad at all.
