NEW ZEALAND v AUSTRALIA BETTING PREVIEW After four wins in four Pool C matches (only Argentina tested the Kiwi in the opening match), the All Blacks thrashed France 62-13 in the quarter-final, before endeing South African hopes in the semi finals with a 20-18 win. They were behind at half time but they managed to escape a tricky match scoring a late try.
Defending champions will go into the Rugby World Cup final unchanged from the side that played last time out as Nehe Milner-Skudder passed a fitness test. Wyatt Crockett had been pencilled in for a place on the bench. Julian Savea will hope to break the record for the most tries scored in a World Cup. He is currently level with compatriot Jonah Lomu and South Africa's Bryan Habana on eight.
The Wallabies emerged from the toughest group having beaten England and Wales on their way to a clean sweep in Pool A before edging Scotland to make it to the final four. The Wallabies made no mistake in their semi final meeting with Argentina, scoring the first try early doors and going on to score four in total, three from Ashley-Cooper on their win to a 29-15 win.
Prop forward Scott Sio has been recalled to the starting line-up after missing the semi win with an elbow problem with James Slipper stepping down, while full-back Israel Folau has been cleared to play despite struggling with an ankle injury. James Slipper drops down to the bench with Toby Smith omitted altogether.
New Zealand won the most recent encounter - 41-13 at Eden Park - to win the Bledisloe Cup for a 13th consecutive year. The Wallabies are one of just three sides to have beaten the All Blacks since they won the World Cup four years ago. That success came in August's Rugby Championship clash, but the Kiwis had to wait just a week to exact revenge on home soil.
The last two finals have been incredibly close encounters with New Zealand beating France 8-7 in 2011 and South Africa breaking England's hearts 15-6 in 2007 in a match decided solely by penalties.
