Beterbiev vs Bivol Betting Preview
Artur Beterbiev (20-0, 20 KO) is the only current champion in boxing with a 100% stoppage rate. He unified his three belts in a second-round TKO victory over Joe Smith Jr. in June 2022 and has made two successful defenses since. In 2023, the Russian was trailing Anthony Yarde in two of three judges' scorecards but managed to knock out the Brit in the eighth round. Last time out, in January, Beterbiev stopped Callum Smith to improve his record to 20-0 with 20 knockouts.
Dmitry Bivol is also undefeated, with a record of 23-0 that includes 12 wins by knockout. After being elevated to full WBA champion in 2017, he defended his belt 12 times, most notably against Canelo Alvarez in 2022, handing the Mexican his second career defeat. Since the triumph over Canelo, Bivol has notched one-sided victories over Gilberto Ramirez, Lyndon Arthur, and Malik Zinad (who stepped in after Beterbiev’s injury)..
Beterbiev vs Bivol Betting Odds
Dmitry Bivol is slightly favorite to emerge victorious on Saturday. Of course, should the fight go to distance, bookies expect Bivol to win the fight, while Beterbiev looks to have only a KO win as his winning chance.
Artur Beterbiev vs Dmitry Bivol Fight Predictions
This fight can only be described as a true, 50/50 matchup. Bivol's surgical jab and exquisite footwork seemingly create a compelling matchup of styles against the slugging Beterbiev.
The biggest question ahead of Saturday's main event is whether Beterbiev can find a way to penetrate Bivol's defenses.
Bivol's boxing IQ is second to none and alread put on a such a show against a powerful hitter such as Canelo Alvares (who was in his prime).
Hence, we expect another masterclass from Dimitri Bivol, and a decision win against Beterbiev, who has had a plethora of injuries in recent years and has only fought three times since the start of 2022.
