When Is Fury vs Whyte? How to watch it?

The WBC Heavyweight Title fight Tyson Fury vs. Dillian Whyte will take place on Saturday, April 23, promoted by Frank Warren's Top Rank (and not Eddie Hearn's Matchroom).

With an announced attendance of 94,000 inside Wembley Stadium, Fury vs Whyte is expected to be one of the sporting events of the year.

It will be Fury’s first appearance on home soil since reclaiming world championship honours - and his first in almost four years, since defeating Francisco Pianeta back in the summer of 2018.

Wondering how to watch Fury vs Whyte?

In the United Kingdom, boxing fans can watch the fight via the BT Sport Box Office. BT TV customers can use their remote control to buy Tyson Fury vs Dillian Whyte. The price for UK viewers will be £24.95.

As the fight is taking place at the Wembley Stadium in London, you will not have to set an alarm to watch the showdown, with the main card starting at 7pm and Tyson Fury and Dillian Whyte set to make their ring walks at 10pm BST approx.

Tyson Fury vs Dillian Whyte Betting Preview

Tyson Fury (31-0-1, 22KOs) has held the lineal heavyweight title since beating Wladimir Klitschko in November 2015. Following two years of inactivity, the Gipsy King returned to action in June 2018 with an easy fight, a warm-up victory over Sefer Seferi in Manchester. In December 2018, Fury stepped up against the highly rated Deontay Wilder, recording an incredible draw despite two knockdowns in later rounds. In the subsequent two bouts against Wilder, Fury stopped the American start in impressive fashion - in February 2020 and October 2021 - both in Las Vegas.

Dillian Whyte (28-2, 19KOs) is the mandatory challenger since ages and will finally have his world title chance after calling this fight for years. Following a seventh-round TKO loss to Anthony Joshua in 2015 — when both were undefeated prospects — Whyte went on an 11-fight winning streak that included defeats of Joseph Parker, Oscar Rivas, Lucas Browne, and twice against Derek Chisora. He suffered a surprising loss at the hands of Alexander Povetkin in August 2020, a heavy KO due to a single left uppercut. Whyte avenged that defeat in March 2021, knocking out the Russian in four rounds to regain his interim title and his mandatory position.

Tyson Fury, a.k.a. the Gypsy King, has become renowned for his stamina and remarkable powers of recovery. In the unforgettable Wilder trilogy, ‘The Bronze Bomber’ dropped him four times (twice in the first bout, twice in the third). But despite the Wilder’s formidable power, Tyson Fury somehow rose to his feet and found a way to survive. Whyte's chin is solid has well but he suffered devastating KO's against AJ and Alexander Povetkin.

Tyson Fury vs Dillian Whyte Odds

Tyson Fury is the odds-on favourite to retain his belt. Betfred has the Gypsy King at 2/9 to win the fight outright whereas Whyte sits as a 19/4 underdog with Unibet while the draw is backable at 33/1 with Betfred again. Interestingly, the Body Snatcher is a whopping 25/1 to eek out a decision win on the night with the new betting siteBetzone.

Dillian Whyte has a reach of 78 inches, compared to Fury at 85. So, it's going to be hard for him to be able to get inside on Fury and utilize the power he's shown he has in past fights.

Tyson Fury vs Dillian Whyte Prediction

Despite his towering 6ft 9in stature and 270 pounds frame, the Gypsy King boasts arguably the best footwork at this weight. He possesses a significantly better boxing IQ and a far wider array of shots in his locker.

Whyte has serious power in both hands, and could trouble Fury with his skills and energy. Anyway, we expect Fury to use his boxing, as well as his reach to keep Whyte at a distance.

At the end of the night, Fury should be able to get a stoppage in late rounds.
