What happened in the first fight?

The duo initially locked horns in Cleveland back in August 2021. Paul was at 190 pounts for the first fight, with Woodley tipping the scales at 189.5.

Paul defeated the former UFC welterweight champion by split decision in their first meeting, 78-74, 77-75, 75-77. The 24-year-old dominated the early rounds but struggled in late rounds when he gassed out and the 39-year-old Woodley became more aggressive.

Paul then set his sights on taking on Tommy Fury, but the half-brother of heavyweight champion Tyson Fury pulled out of the fight with less than two weeks to go because of medical reasons.

Jake Paul vs Tyron Woodley 2 Betting Preview

Jake Paul’s boxing career started in 2019 with a comfortable second-round TKO against fellow YouTuber AnEsonGib. A year later, he fought ex-NBA player Nate Robinson on the Mike Tyson vs. Roy Jones Jr. undercard, scoring an impressive 1st round KO. Paul’s third bout against former UFC competitor Ben Askren also finished with KO win in the first round. Last time out, he beat Tyron Woodley by split decision in his hometown Cleveland. Though he eventually won 77-75, 75-77, 78-74 on the judges’ scorecards, 'The Problem Child' was hurt by a big right hand in the fourth round that probably should have registered as a knockdown as he was held up by the ropes.

Tyron Woodley made his boxing debut against Paul in August and lost by split decision. Not known as a natural striker, which is natural given his background, he simply didn't let enough punches go throughout eight rounds to get his hands raised in victory. Prior to the fight against Jake Paul, the former UFC welterweight champ had suffered four straight losses before being cut from the UFC. Anyway, Woodley was considered the best welterweight in the world few years ago and was known for his wrestling, excellent grappling, and devastating power. He won the belt against Robbie Lawler and successfully defended his title four times before losing to current title-holder Kamaru Usman. Woodley accepted the rematch on short notice following a rib injury to Paul's originally-scheduled opponent Tommy Fury.

Paul vs Woodley 2: Who is the favorite?

The Ohio-native is a significant favorite to earn back-to-back wins against the former UFC welterweight champion.

Coral offer 4/9 for Jake Paul to win while Tyron Woodley is 23/10 with QuinnBet to upset 'the Problem Child'.

The draw is backable at 16/1 with Ladbrokes.

Will Jake Paul knock-out Tyron Woodley?

We can't see Jake Paul knocking the former UFC fighter out. The Missouri native has a sturdy chin. He was only ever stopped by strikes once in 27 pro MMA bouts if you disregard the rib injury that led to a TKO loss against Colby Covington in 2020. Paul did a good job of landing jabs and putting together one-twos against Woodley in that previous fight, but he never seriously threatened him with any power.

Will Tyron Woodley score a knockdown?

Woodley did flash his power on the first fight- He knocked Paul into the ropes in the fourth round giving the Youtuber the most trouble he has faced in the ring. The former UFC star didn't go in for the finish, which sparked rumors that there was a hidden no-knockout clause in the contract. Woodley has since claimed that a shoulder injury was the real reason why he didn't finish Jake Paul. However, a $500,000 reward has been offered to Woodley if he knocks out Paul in the rematch.

Nearing 40, Woodley's best days are behind him and we don't expect so much action from him, neither knockdowns.

Jake Paul vs Tyron Woodley 2 Predictions

Jake Paul has based his training camp on fighting Tommy Fury, which could give the former mixed martial artist an edge. Despite that, we believe 'The Problem Child' will get the nod agaon on the cards. Woodley hasn’t had much time to rest his shoulder and recover, so Paul could outbox his opponents in the early stages and score points for another decision win.
