Juventus v Chelsea Betting Preview

After a poor start of the season, Juventus have pulled themselves together and won two matches in a row. The Bianconeri, who collected just one point from their first three Serie A matchweeks, recorded 3-2 victories at Spezia and at home against Sampdoria. Two narrow wins who set a negative records for Max Allegri's men: they have conceded at least one goal in the last 24 league games. In the Champions League, Juventus started with a 3-0 away win against Malmo, the only clean sheet of the season.

Chelsea enter this match on the back of a 1-0 home defeat against Premier League title contenders Manchester City. The Blues had previously slammed Crystal Palace, Arsenal, Aston Villa and Tottenham by an aggregate score of 11-0 and drew 1-1 at Liverpool despite playing with ten men for most of the match. They sit second in the league standings, just one point shy of Liverpool. As to Champions League, the reigning champions kicked off with a tough 1-0 victory over Zenit St. Petersburg, courtesy of a Romelu Lukaku's goal in the 69th minute.

    Team News & Probable Line-Ups

Juventus (3-5-2): Szczesny; De Ligt, Bonucci, Chiellini; Cuadrado, Betancur, Locatelli, Rabiot, Alex Sandro; Chiesa, Kean

Juventus were dealt a major blow this weekend as both starting forwards Paulo Dybala and Alvaro Morata suffered an injury and will return after the international break. The likes of Federico Chiesa and Moise Kean should get the nod over Dejan Kulusevski to lead the line, while Alex Sandro and Juan Cuadrado are likely to play as wing-backs in a 3-5-2 starting system. Manuel Locatelli will be joined by Rodrigo Betancur and Adrien Rabiot in midfield while Giorgio Chiellini, Leonardo Bonucci and Matthijs De Ligt will form the three man backline. Brazilian duo Arthur and Kaio Jorge remain sidelined.

Chelsea (3-5-2): Mendy; Christensen, Thiago Silva, Rudiger; Azpilicueta, Kovacic, Jorginho, Lotftus-Cheek, Alonso; Werner, Lukaku

Chelsea are set to be without N'Golo Kantè, who has tested positive to COVID-19, and right wing-back Reece James who was forced off in the first half against Man City after twisting his ankle. Marcos Alonso and Cesar Azpilicueta will start as wing-backs while Ruben Loftus-Cheek could be handed a rare start in the middle of the park. Mateo Kovacic and Jorginho are the other two likely starters in midfield as Mason Mount should be rested. Saul Niguez provide a further alternative. Up front, German duo Timo Werner and Kai Havertz, who began on the bench against Zenit, are in contention for an offensive berth alongside Romelu Lukaku.

    Our Juventus v Chelsea Predictions

It will be a tough, tactical battle between two managers known for incredible attention to details.
Juventus have kept only one clean sheet in their last 21 games across all competitions while Chelsea have been rock solid since Thomas Tuchel took charge. Max Allegri's switch to a 3-5-2 system will give his team more solidity at the back, so we expect a low-scoring game. The draw would send both teams to 4 points after two matches. So we back the 1-1 scoreline. As to goalscorers, keep an eye on Federico Chiesa who is expected to play as forward.
