Italian Super Cup Betting Preview
Inter have obtained their eighth consecutive victory in Serie A over the weekend, a 2-1 home win against Lazio which confirmed the reigning champions as the Serie A leading team. AC Milan are only one point behind them but the Nerazzurri have a game in hand. Simone Inzaghi's team also boasts the best attack (51 goals scored) and the second best defense (16 goals conceded, one more than Napoli) in the Italian top flight. They are playing brilliant football domestically, and they look stronger than last season, despite the sales of Achraf Hakimi and Romelu Lukaku.
Juventus collected maximum points at the Stadio Olimpico over the weekend: under 3-1 half an hour from the end, the Old Lady recorded a memorable comeback against Roma in the final, beating Jose Mourinho's men 4-3 in an entertaining clash. Max Allegri's team, which is unbeaten in the last 7 league outings, had not scored more than two goals in a Serie A match since last September. Before this weekend, in fact, Juventus had only scored 28 goals in 20 games (conceding 18). Now the Champions League spots are only 3 points away (but Atalanta have played one game less).
These two teams have faced each other down once this season, last October. The match ended in a draw (1-1), despite a clear domination by the Nerazzurri, with Paulo Dybala's late penalty cancelling Edin Dzeko's opening goal. Excluding the match last autumn, the last two direct encounters played at San Siro saw the teams recording one victory each: Inter Milan won 2-0 on 17th January 2021 (Serie A 2020-2021), Juventus won 2-1 on 2nd February 2021 (first leg of the Italian Cup 2020-2021 semi-finals).
Starting Line-Ups
INTER (3-5-2): Handanovic; Skriniar, De Vrij, Bastoni; Dumfries, Barella, Brozovic, Calhanoglu, Perisic; Dzeko, Lautaro Martinez.
Simone Inzaghi will have all the men available after the return of Hakan Calhanoglu, who served a suspension against Lazio. The former AC Milan midfielder will take back his place in the middle of the park, alongside Nicolò Barella and Marcelo Brozovic. Up front, Edin Dzeko should feature from the off after playing a few minutes against Lazio. The Bosnian should replace Alexis Sanchez and restore the offensive pair with Lautaro Martinez. Denzel Dumfries and Ivan Perisic will be confirmed as wing backs, with Federico Dimarco and Matteo Darmian as back-up options. Te defensive trio in front of Samir Handanovic - formed by Alessandro Bastoni, Stefan De Vrij and Milan Skriniar - will remain unchanged.
JUVENTUS (4-3-3): Perin; De Sciglio, Rugani, Chiellini, Pellegrini; McKennie, Locatelli, Arthur; Bernardeschi, Morata, Dybala
Juventus are dealing with several key absences. Unfortunately, Federico Chiesa suffered a serious ACL injury and will miss the remaining of the season Elsewher, Juan Cuadrado and Matthijs De Ligt are suspended, Leonardo Bonucci and Alex Sandro are major doubts, Aaron Ramsey tested positive for COVID-19. At the ack, therefore, there will be Daniele Rugani paired with Giorgio Chiellini (who recently receovered from an injury) while Mattia De Sciglio and Luca Pellegrini are the only full-backs available to play. Furthermore, goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny has only just received his Covid-19 vaccine and will miss the Super Cup. Arthur will be the playmaker, Weston McKennie and Manuel Locatelli the likely midfielders, with Adrien Rabiot and Rodrigo Betancur providing further options. Up front, Alvaro Morata will be flanked by Federico Bernardeschi and Paulo Dybala. The alternatives are Moise Kean and Dejan Kulusevski.

Italian Super Cup Betting Tips
It is an Italian derby and a domestic cup final. Therefore, it will be a hard-fought match for sure. Home advantage, recent form and Juventus' key absences are enough to pick Inter Milan as probable winners in regular time. We expect the Nerazzurri to win by one, and the 2-1 is our favorite correct score bet. Among the possible scorers, we recommended to bet on Hakim Calhanoglu (excellent shooter and possible penalty taker).
