RANGERS v MOTHERWELL BETTING PREVIEW
Rangers have advanced to the Scottish Premiership playoff final after securing a 2-1 aggregate victory despite losing at Hibernian last Saturday. They finished third in the Scottish Championship, missing out on top spot by a sizeable 14 points. The Blues have had a busy time recently with this being their fifth match in 19 days and this could be an important factor.
Boss Stuart McCall is set to name an unchanged side. Anyway, Nicky Clark could return to the starting lineup after being named on the bench for last weekend's match and his inclusion in the side may mean that Lee McCulloch drops to the bench. Defender Seb Faure and midfielder Gael Bigirimana remain out.
Motherwell will be immensely proud of their 31-year stay in the top-flight but they have finished a bitterly disappointing SPL season down 11th. The Well failed to inspire in their last match - a 0-0 stalemate at home to Partick Thistle - which does little to boost confidence ahead of the trip to Ibrox. Away from home, they can't seem to stop conceding goals having shipped two or more in 12 of their last 15 games.
Motherwell have no fresh injuries ahead of this match with Keith Lasley and Scott McDonald both restored to the squad after they were left out at the weekend for the 0-0 draw with Partick Thistle. George Long, Mark O'Brien, Josh Law and Lee Erwin are also among the players who could be recalled.
Rangers are unbeaten in nine matches at Ibrox, winning five of the last seven. Furthermore, the Gers are undefeated in 39 league and cup matches against Motherwell (W30 D9), dating back to 2002. The return leg is at Fir Park on Sunday.
