Zinedine Zidane changed his entire team at half time against Bayern and could adopt the same strategy here. Gareth Bale refused to play and is not expected to feature again for the Blancos. Summer signings Eden Hazard, Takefusa Kubo, Rodrygo Goes, Luka Jovic and Ferland Mendy are all expected to play. Nacho and Vinicius Junior are also expected to come into the starting XI, with the latter partnering Karim Benzema and Hazard up front. Marcos Asensio provide a further offensive option while Isco is likely to play in midfield with Luka Modric and Toni Kroos since Casemiro is still absent following his exertions for Brazil at the Copa America. Eder Militao is also unavailable.
The likes of Sokratis Papastathopoulos, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette are all set to come back into the starting lineup. Mesut Ozil is expected to complete the front trio while Henrikh Mhkitaryan will probably move back in midfield alongside Granit Xhaka and Joe Willock, another good youngster. Eddie Nketiah, who has scored three of Arsenal’s last four goals, will probably play in the second half as well as 18-year-old Gabriel Martinelli.
