REAL MADRID v BARCELONA BETTING PREVIEW
Real Madrid have played two matches in the International Champions Cup so far, both against Manchester clubs. They drew 1-1 with Manchester United before losing on penalties, while Man City thrashed them 4-1. Zinedine Zidane was without two talismans as Cristiano Ronaldo and Sergio Ramos, but that’s no excuse for such a hammering. Clearly, the departure of Pepe, Alvaro Morata, Danilo and James Rodriguez has left the team with no depth this summer.Sergio Ramos could return to the starting lineup against Barcelona while it's highly unlikely that CR7 will play at some stage. The likes of Gareth Bale, Karim Benzem and Isco are expected to lead the line. Zidane gave the likes of Dani Ceballos and Jesus Vallejo plenty of minutes in the Man City game, and it would not be a surprise to see the both of them among those who feature heavily here.
Barcelona come into the game off the back of a 1-0 victory against Manchester United, courtesy of a goal scored by Neymar. The Brazilian also scored a brace in the first ICC outing, a match the Blaugrana won 2-1 over Italian champions Juventus. The Catalans have better recent head-to-head records, as they have recorded three wins and a draw in their last five direct encounters since early 2015, with just one loss suffered in the process. They have beat the Blancos 2-3 in their most recent clash, bagging the points at Santiago Bernabeu in April 2017 with a 92’ winner from Leo Messi.
New Barcelona manager Ernesto Valverde will be expected to start with the formidable trio of Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar in attack against their fierce rivals despite the Brazilian is rumoured to move to PSG and stormed out of a training session on Thursday after an altercation with team-mate Nelson Semedo. The likes Gerard Deulofeu and Rafinha are both nursing injuries and will miss the game.
