REAL MADRID v SEVILLE BETTING PREVIEW
This fixture had to be postponed earlier in the season, due to Madrid's involvement in the Club World Cup so Ancelotti's men can once again open up their lead at the top of La Liga to four points. They have won 16 out of their last 17 league games and dismantled David Moyes’ Real Sociedad last time out 4-1 at home.
Cristiano Ronaldo will serve the second of a two-match ban. Ancelotti is still without Luka Modric while defender Pepe remains a doubt with a rib injury. The Italian manager will hand a place in the squad for the first time to January signing Lucas Silva. Gareth Bale and Fabio Coentrao are expected to be in contention.
Seville FC come from a 3-2 success over Espanyol on Sunday, a result that further enhanced their hopes of securing a top-four finish. They are enjoying a very successful season this term, even if they have just been eliminated by Copa del Rey at the hands of Espanyol. The team have won four of their last five in La Liga but have lost three of their last five on the road, including a 5-1 defeat to Barcelona in November.
Midfielder Ever Banega is banned, while goalkeeper Beto and fellow midfielder Krychowiak are rated doubtful. Gerard Deulofeu is likely to retain his place after continued good form while Carlos Bacca has struck 14 La Liga goals this term in 20 appearances and will lead the attack.
The Galacticos have already beaten Sevilla 2-0 in the UEFA Super Cup back in August. The same fixture last season saw Real Madrid recording a thrilling 7-3 victory over Sevilla.
