ROMA vs BARCELONA BETTING PREVIEW
Roma enter this match on the back of a 0-2 defeat against Fiorentina at the Stadio Olimpico last weekend. As a result, Lazio are now level on points with them in third spot, with a Derby della Capitale just around the corner next Sunday. Eusebio Di Francesco’s side are now without a win in their last three.
Anyway, the Serie A side have not conceded a goal at home in the Champions League and have already beaten 3-0 Chelsea at this ground this season. A similar scoreline would send Roma to the semifinals.
Radja Nainggolan remains a doubt for Barcelona ahead of Tuesday's second leg while Diego Perotti has not been included in the team due to physical issues. Turkish youngster Cengiz Under has recovered but Eusebio Di Francesco should select Patrick Schick to complete the front trio with Stephan El Shaarawy and Edin Dzeko. In midfield, Kevin Strootman and Daniele De Rossi appear sure starters with Lorenzo Pellegrini ready to repalce Nainggolan. No changes are expected in defense with Aleksandr Kolarov, Federico Fazio, Kostas Manolas and Alessandro Florenzi forming the four man backline. Rick Karsdord is only long-term injury concern.
Barcelona have one foot in the semi finals of the Champions League already, having secured a 4-1 victory at the Camp Nou in the first leg match. They warmed up for this trip with a 3-1 victory over Leganes in La Liga, where they are very close to secure another title. Ernesto Valverde's men are unbeaten in their last 18 matches in all competitions and have lost only once so far this season. Anyway, the Blaugrana have a poor record on the road in Europe, having won just two of their last eight games away from home in the Champions League. They have failed to score against both Olympiakos and Juventus this season and have scored a total of just two goals in their four trips away.
Jordi Alba, Samuel Umtiti and Andres Iniesta will all return in the starting XI after being rested last Saturday while Philippe Cotinho is uneligible to play for Barcelona in Champions League. Leo Messi and Luis Suarez will spearhead the attack as usual, with Paco Alcacer and Ousmane Dembelè main alternatives. In midfield, Sergio Busquets is not 100% fit and could be replaced by Paulinho. Iniesta will probably play on the left, with Sergi Roberto and Denis Suarez battling for the spot on the other side. Sergi Samper and Lucas Digne are expected to miss out for the visitors.
