ROMA v JUVENTUS BETTING PREVIEW
Roma were beaten by PSG on penalties after a 1-1 draw in Detroit but then stepped thing up to take a 3-2 victory over Tottenham, courtesy of a late goal scored by Marco Tumminello. The Giallorossi are showing a brilliant play under new manager Eusebio Di Francesco and are expected to sign a couple of players before the transfer market deadline after the sale of Mohamed Salah, Leandro Paredes and Antonio Rudiger. Sporting director Monchi have signed Hector Moreno, Gregoire Defrel, Lorenzo Pellegrini, Maxime Gonalons and Rick Karsdorp so far and has made two bids to sign Riyad Mahrez from Leicester City.New Roma boss Eusebio Di Francesco is expected to make changes to the formation who started last time out. Brazilian defender Juan Jesus should be recalled to the centre of the defence alongside recent arrival from PSV Hector Moreno since Kostas Manolas is out through injury. Lorenzo Pellegrini is also likely to come into the midfield while Edin Dzeko is expected to be supported by Diego Perotti and Gregoire Defrel up front, with the youngsters Cengiz Under and Marco Tumminello providing viable alternatives.
Juventus bounced back from their 2-1 defeat against Barcelona in their first game of pre-season, beating ICC holders Paris Saint-Germain 3-2 in their second outing in this competition, a win that came thanks to a last-gasp penalty from Marchisio. The Bianconeri have been uncharacteristically slack at the back so far, meaning that the loss of world class centre back Leonardo Bonucci is a huge blow.
Federico Bernardeschi could make his first appearance for Juventus since his controversial €40 million move from Fiorentina. Manager Max Allegri is expected to field a 4-2-3-1 starting formation with Gonzalo Higuain leading the line and the likes of Juan Cuadrado, Paulo Dybala and Douglas Costa behind the Argentine striker. In defence, Daniele Rugani is likely to partner Giorgio Chiellini at the heart of the four man backline with Stephan Lichtsteiner and Alex Sandro as full backs.
