SWEDEN v RUSSIA: MATCH PREVIEW
After failing to qualify for the last World Cup, Sweden were held to a 1-1 draw in their opening Euro 2016 qualifying match in Austria. They have just won a single game in their last five outings and so they are in desperate need of all three points here.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic is almost certain to miss out with a heel problem while Mikael Antonsson and Albin Ekdal (who scored a hat-trick against Inter Milan few weeks ago) also face fitness tests. Zengin or ex-Bolton striker Johan Elmander are Ibra's most likely replacements.
Russia ran out convincing 4-0 winners against the minnows of Liechtenstein in their first qualifier but they are still disappointed for their World Cup campaign as they managed just two draws and a defeat.
The likes of Anyukov, Zhirkov, Denisov, Shirokov and Bystrov have been overlooked while talented full-back Georgy Shchennikov has been recalled after recovering from a serious injury. Samedin, Kokorin and Cherishev will form the attacking trio while Alan Dzagoev might play in midfield.
Erik Hamren's side have lost their last two competitive matches on home soil letting in eight goals. On the other side Fabio Capello's men were relatively weak on the road during the World Cup qualifying campaign, as they conceded to both Northern Ireland and Azerbaijan in their last two matches.
The last time the two nations met each other was in a group match at Euro 2008 with the Russians prevailing on that day; Roman Pavlyuchenko and Andrey Arshavin netted to help their side to a 2-0 victory.
