Tomas Berdych got the chance o play his second semi-final at Wimbledon following a straight-sets victory over Lucas Pouille in the quarter finals, 7-6 (7-4), 6-3, 6-2. In that match, In the victory, Berdych won 45 of 52 first serve points and racked up 35 winners and 24 unforced errors. In the fourth round, Berdych survived a five-set match against 22-year-old Jiri Vesely while in the third round he defeated teen sensation Alexander Zverev, 6-3, 6-4, 4-6, 6-1.

Andy Murray had a real scare in his quarterfinal against Tsonga. After winning the first two sets, the Scot dropped the next two to the Frenchman before taking the fifth set for a 7-6 (12-10), 6-1, 3-6, 4-6, 6-1 victory. Prior to that match, Murray had not dropped a set. he dismissed Kyrgios in straight sets, 7-5, 6-1, 6-4 in the 4th round.

Murray leads the Head-to-Head 8-6, but this will be the first meeting on grass between the two. Anyway, the Czech hasn't beaten the British number one in the past three years and has lost each of their last four meetings at a cumulative set score of 9-1. They have never played in a five-setter.

Andy Murray is obviously the better player, he's in top form, but he does have his weaknesses and Tsonga exposed some of them in the quarters. Berdych only managed a total of 6 aces in the last 16, well below the normal amount he produces. He improved that total to 10 against Pouille and he will need to serve well to have any hope against Murray.
