Tour De France Stage 21 Betting Tips, Predictions, Odds & Free Bets (Rambouillet > Paris - 28.7.2019)
- Written by David Bet
Tour De France Stage 21 is a 128K route from Rambouillet, just outside Paris, to the city center for nine laps of the traditional circuit up and down the Champs-Élysées. Who will win the final stage of the Tour 2019? Read here our Tour De France STAGE 21 betting preview, best odds, expert picks on Winner & Head to Head, betting promotions & no deposit free bets.
The Tour's final stage will be a mix of competition and celebration, a victory parade for the young Colombian until the last kilometres, when sprinters and attackers will fight for the stage win.
Of course, it would be wildly unlikely for Geraint Thomas – or any of the other riders – to try and mount a challenge.
The course has only two Category 4 climbs, and the polka dot jersey has already been decided, so don’t expect any early action.
Plus, a successful (late) attack is a very unlikely scenario. We have to go back to 2005 for the last rider - Alexander Vinokourov - who managed to hold off a charging peloton on the Champs-Élysées.
Alexander Kristoff won last year's stage on the famous avenue while Dylan Groenewegen won in 2017. But they will not be the bookie favourites.
The likes of Caleb Ewan and Elia Viviani looked the fastest sprinters so far. The Australian is the only sprinter to win two stages at this year’s Tour, the Italian has won just one stage but came very close to victory in another couple of days.
Peter Sagan always is one to watch, expecially in the third week of Grand Tours when pure sprinters are tired. The Slovakian has never won on the final stage.
Other fast riders like Matteo Trentin, Michael Matthews or Nicolò Bonifazio are real outside shots while Andre Greipel failed to collect even a top 10 placement so far.
Jasper Stuyven, Sonny Colbrelli and Jens Debusschere are likely to fight for a top 5 - top 10 position.
