RONDA ROUSEY v BETHE CORREIA: BETTING PREVIEW

Both Ronda Rousey and Bethe Correia are unbeaten in their professional MMA career so far. Rousey will be fighting outside North America for the first time while Bethe Correia will count on the local support in her attempt to win the title belt.

Ronda Rousey is 11-0 so far and only two opponents have taken the current Champion to the second round. The past two, Cat Zingano and Alexis Davis, have lasted a combined 30 seconds in the Octagon with her before being finished. Only four of Rousey’s 11 fights have gone past the minute mark, and two of those came against Miesha Tate. Of her 11 MMA fights, she has submitted nine opponents with an armbar, including six within the first minute of the first round.

The clinch is Rousey's wheelhouse, and once there, she blends together short uppercuts, knees and a bewildering variety of trips and throws into a seamless and devastating package. She is quite hittable as she works her way forward, rarely pulling her head off the centerline and relying on her toughness to absorb shots while punching her way into the clinch. But we believe she holds enormous advantages in size, physicality, athleticism, takedown acumen and overall grappling skill.

Bethe Correia has a perfect 9-0 record and three straight wins in the UFC. She has been a decision machine, but managed to stop her last opponent, Shayna Bazsler, in the second round last August. The Brazilian fighter is pretty much a striker. She goes forward with reckless abandon, wailing away at opponents with multi-punch flurries. But that may not be the best of approaches against Rousey.
