WALES v FIJI BETTING PREVIEW
Wales were superb in beating hosts England at Twickenham on Saturday fighting back from a ten point deficit. They were still 25-18 down with ten minutes to go but 23 points from the boot of Dan Biggar and a Gareth Davies try gave them a pivotal victory. The only negative for the Welsh is a rising injury list which could yet derail their campaign.
The epic victory over the Red Rose was marred by the loss of both centre Scott Williams and wing Hallam Amos and coach Warren Gatland will be forced to make three changes. Matthew Morgan, Alex Cuthbert and Tyler Morgan have all been named in the starting line-up, although the pack remains unchanged. The Welsh are already without the likes of Leigh Halfpenny, Jonathan Davies and Rhys Webb for the tournament.
Fiji were competitive against England, going down 35-11 in the opener at Twickenham and although Australia threatened to put them away at one point they fought back to lose by 15 points (28-13) at Cardiff. They have scored one try on both their matches and they must beat Wales if they are to remain in the tournament.
John McKee has had to make six changes due to injuries and suspension. His best player Nemani Nadolo is serving a two-week ban while scrum-half Niko Matawalu has been ruled out due to injury. Two huge absences as they are by far their two most influential players and epitomise the flair, speed and power of the Fijians. Furthremore, they have lost other two players - prop Isei Colati and wing Waisea Nayacalevu - through injury. The Montpellier winger Timoci Nagusa missed out on initial selection because of a knee injury but has recovered in time and was called into the squad to replace the injured Waisea Nayacalevu. In the back Dominiko Waqaniburotu returns at blindside flanker, while Sunia Koto starts at hooker.
Wales have an all-time record of 8-1-1 over the Pacific Islanders, with the most recent notable matches being a tight 17-13 win in Cardiff last year.
