Wales v Scotland Six Nations Betting Tips & Predictions (31.10.2020)
The final weekend of the Six Nations, almost nine months after it kicks off, sees Wales welcome Scotland to Parc y Scarlets in a game which means very little in terms of the Six Nations trophy, although of course the Doddie Weir Cup is up for grabs.

Scotland have a glimmer of hope in the Six Nations race, but it would be a minor miracle if they were to leapfrog Ireland, England and France to claim it.

Below you’ll find our top picks for the weekend’s fixture as the Six Nations comes to a close.

When is Wales v Scotland?

Wales will host Scotland in what is the first game of Super Saturday, with a 2.15pm kick off at Parc y Scarlets in Llanelli.

The game will be played behind closed doors with the game to be shown live on BBC One.

Who is the Wales v Scotland Favourite?

Most of the top bookmakers are currently seeing Wales as favourites for this one. They narrowly lost to England last time out 33-30 and are priced at 2/5 to get the win and cap off a relatively disappointing campaign for them.

Scotland are priced at 2/1 after beating France 28-17 last weekend, with the draw at 20/1.

Head-to-Head

Wales against Scotland is always an exciting encounter. The two sides first met in 1883 and have played 125 matches in total. Since 2018, the two sides compete for the Doddie Weir Cup, named in honour of Weir who is doing fantastic work raising awareness for motor neurone disease.

Wales have had the better of Scotland over history, with 73 wins to 49, winning 46 of the 62 games played in Wales.

It’s a tie that has been dominated by Wales in recent years too. Scotland have won just one of the last 13 meetings between the two, a record that stretches back to 2008. What’s more, Scotland haven’t won in Wales since 2002 when they came away 27-22 winners at the Millennium Stadium.

Our Wales v Scotland Predictions

Wales will want to finish in style this weekend and at 2/5 with BetVictor we do expect them to get the win.

An 8-14 point winning margin would be our top bet for this game at 14/5, with Wales perhaps a little unfortunate to get something against England last weekend.

A -11.5 handicap at 2/1 may also be appealing for the Welsh, while the -5.5 handicap makes for a safer bet at 20/23.

Either way, we expect a comfortable day for the Welsh in Llanelli in a game that won’t have any influence on the Six Nations Championship winner later in the afternoon.
