Brazil vs Switzerland Betting Preview
Brazil won their opening match in Qatar by beating Serbia 2-0. While their first-half performance seemed somewhat laboured at times, Tite's men found their rhythm towards the end of the game and nailed the victory courtesy of a Richarlison's brace. The Seleçao was rock solid at the back - the Serbs managed just five shots on Thursday, putting none of them on target. That win sealed an eighth successive victory for the five-time World Cup winners, and they remain unbeaten since their defeat in the 2021 Copa America final, when they suffered a 1-0 defeat at the hands of bitter rivals Argentina.
Switzerland edged past Cameroon in their opener thanks to Breel Embolo's effort, but it was not all that convincing from the Rossocrociati. Even without catching they eye, Switzerland pipped Italy in their World Cup qualifying group, and have won now won four competitive games in a row. La Nati have also defeated top teams such as Portugal and Spain in the process. In terms of direct encounters, the last meeting between these two teams ended in a 1-1 draw at the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
Best Odds
According to all the top UK bookmakers, the five-time world champions are strongly favorites here. Betfred have 1/2 for Brazil to win while the draw is offered at 7/2 with Bet365. A major upset from Switzerland is backable at 7/1 with Betfair.
Probable Line-Ups
Brazil (4-3-3): Alisson; Dani Alves, Thiago Silva, Marquinhos, Alex Sandro; Casemiro, Fred, Paqueta; Raphinha, Richarlison, Vinicius Junior
Neymar will not be able to play the remaining two games of the group stage due to an ankle injury. The PSG star could be replaced by Fred with Lucas Paqueta pushing further forward. Gabriel Martinelli, Pedro, Antony, Gabriel Jesus and Rodrygo are further offensive options. Right back Danilo’s ankle was also injured and will be replaced by 39-year-old Dani Alves. Eder Militao is a viable alternative.
Switzerland (4-3-3): Sommer; Widmer; Akanji, Elvedi, Rodriguez; Freuler, Xhaka, Sow; Shaqiri, Embolo, Vargas
Switzerland have no fresh injury concerns and could even go unchanged into this clash. Breel Embolo will retain his berth as central forward, flanked by Xherdan Shaqiri and Ruben Vargas. Midfielders Remo Freuler and Granit Xhaka play a big role in midfield, alongside Djibril Sow. In defense, the likes of Manuel AKanji and Nico Elvedi will be preferred to Fabian Schar as centre backs.

Our Brazil vs Switzerland Predictions
Switzerland may not be able to offer all that much going forward, but they should be a very difficult side to break down, as they shown in World Cup qualifiers when they managed to draw both matches against Italy.
La Nati got the better of Spain and Portugal earlier this year and we believe they can frustrate Brazil as well. As a result, we back "Switzerland +2 Handicap" and the Under 2.5 goals (with Neymar sidelined, it looks a smart bet). The correct score might be a narrow 1-0 win for Brazil.
The Draw at half-time is also recommended, given that most of the matches in Qatar have seen a stalemate after 45 minutes.
