How to watch Portugal v Switzerland
Portugal and Switzerland go head to head in the Round of 16 on Tuesday, December 6, at Lusail Stadium in Lusail, with kickoff at 22:00 local time in Qatar (8pm UK Time).

Portugal vs Switzerland Betting Preview
Portugal opened with a 3-2 victory over Ghana, before securing qualification with a 2-0 win over Uruguay. They suffered a 2-1 loss in the third game against South Korea but managed to escape the group as winner, meaning they avoided a possible second-round meeting with Brazil.
Switzerland finished tied on points with Group G winners Brazil and only missing out on the top spot by goal difference. La Nati opened their Qatar campaign with a narrow 1-0 victory over Cameroon but suffered a defeat at the hands of Brazil by the same scoreline. They secured the runners-up spot by beating Serbia 3-2 in a thrilling finish.
The most recent encounter between these two teams has been played last June in the UEFA Nations League. Switzerland won that match 1-0 in Geneve. Portugal won 4-0 the clash played on their own turf one week earlier.
Best Odds
Portugal go into the game as strong favourites according to estabilished and new betting sites. Ronaldo & co. are 10/11 to win in 90 minutes with Ladbrokes while Switzerland are 37/10 to win with VBet. The draw is backable at 12/5 with Betfred.
Probable Line-Ups
Portugal (4-3-2-1): Costa; Dalot, Pepe, Dias, Cancelo; B. Silva, Neves, Carvalho; Fernandes, J. Felix; Ronaldo.
Portugal are set to go full strength against Switzerland after rotating a few players last time out. That will likely see returns to the starting XI for Ruben Dias as well as Bernardo Silva and Bruno Fernandes. Up front, Cristiano Ronaldo will retain his berth despite 70% of the Portuguese fans would like to bench him. CR7 will be flanked by Joao Felix. Elsewhere, Nuno Mendes has been ruled out of the rest of the tournament last week due to injury, while Danilo remains sidelined after sustaining fractured ribs.
Switzerland (4-2-3-1): Sommer; Widmer, Elvedi, Akanji, Rodriguez; Freuler, Xhaka; Shaqiri, Sow, Vargas; Embolo.
Yann Sommer and Nico Elvedi missed the final group game with Serbia due to illness but should come back into consideration for the last-16 round. Gregor Kobel and Stefan Schar are the back up options should they not recover in time. Breel Embolo will sperhead the attack with Ruben Vargas and Xherdan Shaqiri providing support from out wide. The likes of Christian Fassnacht and Renato Steffen offer alternatives on either flank.
Portugal v Switzerland Predictions
Portugal have not entirely convinced so far. Fernando Santos’ side conceded two goals to Ghana in their opening match and was lucky to escape with a win and ended the group stage with a defeat against South Korea.
Switzerland have been rock solid as usual, frustrated Brazil until the 83rd minute when Casemiro scored the deciding goal, pipped European champions Italy in qualifying, and have reached the quarter finals in last year's Euros edging out world champions France on penalties.
We expect the Swiss to make life difficult for Portugal on Thursday evening. As a result, we back Switzerland to win or draw in regular time. The Correct Score could be a 1-1 or 2-2 draw.
We also fancy Both Teams To Score while we pick Ricardo Rodriguez as a likely player to be shown a card.
